MARKETING CONSULTANCY

I am Cheryl Jones, a strategic marketing consultant & coach with over 13 years' experience developing and executing effective marketing plans for professional services firms.

I am a British-born, bilingual (French & English) marketing strategist, project manager and copywriter specialising in B2B Services Marketing. An innate planner and strategic thinker, I currently freelance as a marketing consultant offering my unique mixture of skills for one-off projects or longer-term outsourced services.

I have over 12 years’ experience in professional services marketing and have also worked with charities, tech start-ups and SMEs to develop strategies and create content. Active and recent past projects cover a broad spectrum and include marketing strategy, brand identity and website development (conception, design, copy).

Prior to setting up my consultancy, I worked in financial services marketing for over 10 years. During that time, I worked as a marketing project manager,  led both regional and channel marketing teams and spearheaded digital transformation projects. I have had the pleasure of running small teams where we muck in and do it all (my personal favourite) and of managing larger teams that take care of one particular aspect of the marketing chain. Both have given me a wealth of experience and insight which I enjoy applying to different fields.

My approach is straightforward and value-driven. I believe in the long-standing, effective principles of authentic customer-centric marketing designed around your audience’s needs. I am also a firm believer that content, however good, will make little difference without a good strategy. So that’s what I do – I create the structural frameworks upon which to build effective, impactful campaigns. And I create pretty good content too.
